Set Up Membership Types

Membership types define the variety of memberships your society offers. Key distinctions usually include:

  • Membership period - Choose from options like 6-month or 12-month memberships. Yearly memberships are most popular.

  • Member type - Consider different types, such as free memberships for current students and paid ones for alumni, or tiered memberships (Gold/Silver/Bronze) offering varied benefits.

Having different membership types will allow you to segment your memberships and create targeted discounts, ticket types and communication strategies.

Many clubs opt for a single annual membership, which works well too!

We recommend setting up a new membership type each year, rather than editing existing ones, to avoid impacting current members.
